A Future for Lost Memory
(Source: Mayo Clinic) - Inside the brain of a person with Alzheimer's disease, twisting "tau" proteins, amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles disrupt the normal functioning of nerve cells, destroying information pathways. Fewer neurons are then available to store and retrieve memory.
